Aircraft Detailing with the Consistency of a Local Team

The same trained local detailers on every visit, for NCA-managed and privately owned aircraft across the Twin Cities.

Aircraft Detailing

More Than a Standalone Cleaning Service.

Detailing at NCA is treated as part of aircraft care, not a one-off cleaning. Products, methods, and timing are chosen around each aircraft’s finishes, interior materials, and flight schedule, so presentation and long-term condition are protected together.

Speak With Our Team
What types of aircraft do you detail?

We detail a wide range of aircraft, from small piston airplanes to larger business jets, and adjust the scope of detailing to fit the size, layout, and materials of each aircraft.

What is included in an aircraft detail?

Services vary depending on the level of detailing selected but may include exterior washing, interior cleaning, leather conditioning, carpet extraction, brightwork polishing, de-ice boot treatment, paint decontamination, paint rejuvenation, polymer sealant, or ceramic coating. We’ll recommend services based on your aircraft’s condition and your long-term maintenance goals. Please note that we do not clean up hazardous materials (hazmat) or biological waste.

How long does an aircraft detail take?

Time varies based on the aircraft and its condition. Tell our detailing team your aircraft type and the services you’re interested in, and we’ll talk through timing with you.

How much does aircraft detailing cost?

Pricing varies based on the aircraft and its condition. Contact our detailing team with your aircraft type, location, and the services you’re interested in to discuss pricing.

Can detailing be performed at my hangar?

In many cases, yes. Depending on the aircraft's location, facility requirements, and available workspace, detailing may be performed at your hangar or at North Central Aviation. We regularly service aircraft at Anoka County–Blaine (KANE), Crystal (KMIC), St. Paul Downtown (KSTP), Flying Cloud (KFCM), and Lake Elmo (21D). Clients are responsible for any Atlantic Aviation hangar fees for services performed at our KANE location. If your aircraft is based elsewhere, contact us to discuss availability and scheduling.

How do I schedule aircraft detailing?

Start by contacting our detailing team with your aircraft type, location, and the services you’re interested in. We’ll discuss your goals, answer any questions, and recommend a detailing plan based on your aircraft’s condition and availability.

We coordinate detailing around your aircraft’s flight schedule, hangar availability, and planned downtime whenever possible. Our team is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and is closed on major holidays. We’ll work with you to schedule service at a time that minimizes disruptions to your operations.

How often should my aircraft be detailed, and do you offer recurring programs?

It depends on how often the aircraft is flown, where it operates, how it is stored, and the level of presentation you want to maintain. Aircraft that fly frequently, carry passengers regularly, or are exposed to harsh weather typically benefit from more frequent detailing.

We offer recurring detailing programs, with service intervals set around your aircraft’s utilization, storage conditions, and your preferences. Regular care keeps the aircraft consistently clean and reduces the need for more extensive restoration over time.

What products do you use on aircraft?

We use aviation-appropriate products selected for the specific materials being treated. Rather than relying on a single product line, we choose cleaning and protection products based on the aircraft’s paint, leather, plastics, brightwork, and other interior or exterior surfaces.

Do you perform paint polishing and ceramic coatings?

Yes. Paint polishing, polymer sealants, and ceramic coatings are available based on the condition of the aircraft and the owner’s goals. Because not all aircraft manufacturers approve ceramic coatings, we’ll review the available options and any applicable manufacturer guidance with you first, so you can decide if a ceramic coating is right for your aircraft.

Can detailing help protect my aircraft’s value?

Professional detailing cannot eliminate normal wear, but regular cleaning and surface protection help preserve paint, interior materials, and overall presentation. Consistent care also makes it easier to identify developing issues before contaminants or neglect cause additional deterioration.
